As an adult bird lands all of the birds in the vicinity call out and inspect the newcomer. It is a noisy time with much beating of wings, and increase in the tension level of the colony. This recording was made in the early evening just at sundown so the noise levels are lower than they would be during the day as activity levels are reduced across the colony.
